Proactive and innovative approaches to bold community transformation through fostering the fulfillment of basic needs for all and sundry.
- The unfulfilled basic needs (access to food and Water, healthcare, education, and employment) of individuals hinder improvements in quality of life, increased social cohesion, greater economic opportunities, and better access to essential services.
- We employ creative solutions which often require significant effort and resources to address these community problems.
- Our success involves the fulfillment of basic needs for everyone in the communities we serve to see higher nutritional and health levels, improved access to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services, increased access to healthcare, or improved access to education and educational attainment.
THE ORGANIZATION
Encomium 2020 is a non-profit organization that works to improve and dignify living standards by empowering communities to the realization of the absolute minimum resources necessary for long-term well-being. We give priority to meeting the basic needs of all the people, including the fulfilment of certain standards of nutrition (food and water), and the universal provision of health and education services through inter-sectoral, holistic projects and programmes. We are driven by a strong culture, ethical and moral values that set pace for the organization’s stability and sustainability.

Highlights
- 50 teachers trained in Fundamental ICT Skills – Pakwach District
- 30 elderly persons supported with Hygiene dignity kits during the COVID-19 Pandemic – Pakwach District
- 12 teenage mothers imparted with life skills and supported with start-up kits to improve their livelihoods – Buhweju District
- 20 lactating mothers supported with hygiene kits – Buhweju District
