Encomium 2020 was established with the motive of everyone’s well-being, to fight with odds prevailing on a broader spectrum, make communities adapt to all the uncertainties and combat them more effectively, adding more grace and prosperity to society.
We have personally encountered multiple disadvantages through low income and poor housing, inadequate health care, barriers to lifelong learning and unemployment; poverty makes one excluded and marginalized from participating in economic, social and cultural activities that are essential for living a more fulfilling life. No one should live in the undesirable situation of inadequate income, resources and inability to meet or access the minimum requirements for decent human wellbeing such as nutrition, health, literacy and shelter.
Prevailing economic growth initiatives do not necessarily help the poor, exclusively tilting in favour of the non-poor and privileged sections of society, leaving the poor sinking deep into poverty. People living in poverty are usually accused of having little concern for the future and preferring to “live for the moment” while others are characterized as fatalists, resigning themselves to a culture of poverty in which nothing can be done to change their economic outcomes.
We leverage participatory, transparent, accountable and community-demand-driven approaches to address the multidimensional poverty and confront the various deprivations of poor health, lack of education, inadequate living standards and disempowerment. No matter how far deep a situation is taxing, we are always committed to offer the support and empathy our communities need to access the appropriate groundwork and push everyone’s dream through the right direction.
